If your student is absent, submit an absence note to me with your child the day he/she returns.
Absence notes must be handwritten with your signature. Absent students are expected to make up all missing assignments once they are back to school. Students will have the number of days they were absent to turn in all missing assignments.

Homework that is turned in late will be given a one-letter grade deduction each day. After five
days, late work will not be accepted. Please note that students can only make up work for a grade when they have provided a note for an excused absence. Homework will be assigned almost daily. All assignments are copied daily in an
assignment notebook. I will also update the homework assignments on the classroom website after school. Homework does not include the assigned reading of 20 minutes or more daily. This also does not include, studying for tests, finishing special projects or completing class work that may need additional time. Homework provides students with additional practice and enrichment that is vital to their success. I expect that students complete every homework assignment with their best effort. Please check over your child’s homework whenever possible. In Room 203, we believe in following the 3 R’s. We always want to be sure that we are Respectful, Responsible and Ready. Here is a list of our “Classroom Norms”:
1. Be responsible for your own learning everyday 2. Take risks and make mistakes 3. Respect your teachers, your school and your peers 4. Dream big, work hard and have fun! |
